one independent parenting community available online. Ambitious? YES!
Impossible? NO! With recent years, the Internet has become an invaluable
tool for researching new products, discovering new ideas and finding
useful information on pretty much any topic you'd ever want to know about.
We built our first online community back in 2001. It's called VolvoXC.com
and is the world's only online community especially designed for owners of
Volvo Cross Country vehicles, including the V70XC, XC70, XC90 and upcoming
XC50 and XC30 models. We've always held that belief that if you're going
to create something, it might as well be something you're passionate
about, and that's where Modern Family Life comes in. As web developers,
that means building websites and communities that reflect our personal
interests and hobbies.  We're new parents as of October 7,2003 so parenting is something we're both
new to and constantly searching for new ideas and information. Taking a
look at the World of parenting online, and there's no place we really felt
entirely comfortable. Either the sites had outdated information, were run
by large companies primarily focused on selling ad space or their own
products, or the forums/message boards just didn't give us that friendly,
familiar feeling of community that we've managed to acheive on our Volvo
site . Thus, we just decided to create our own little community here on
the web as a place where parents can openly share ideas, learn and
interact with other parents in a less corporate, generally unmoderated,
more casual environment. We sincerely hope you enjoy your time here on
